Party, Failure, Ballad

Cher Lloyd Ft. Astro - Want U Back

I question the grunts - they make me think of the Williams sisters - but the song is catchy, upbeat and enjoyable. The grunts even become something of a keypoint to join in with and let you do some fun thrusts with your friends.

Astro is a welcome addition, playing well against Lloyd both vocally and in the context of the lyrics - if a bit disturbing considering his age.

It's a cheery song. It starts with you smiling and ends with you laughing. It's unlikely to become a club hit unless it gets remixed, but it's a definite favourite for when you're getting ready or having a pre-sesh.

Cassidy Ft. Styles P - Money Money

A headache in stereo, playing this with a decent bass will have you asking for your money money back.

The backing detracts from some good lyrical verse and word play, and overwhelms the whole track.

An a capella or low key melody would have been better fitted, and I suspect they may have paid Styles P to say "money" once, and then stacked it up as that's all he ever says. He isn't so much featured as neutered.

No video for this one as you should stay away.

Tim McGraw Ft. Ne-Yo - Only Human

Country with a little slice of urban - Ne-Yo's voice in this is like finding a penthouse in the wilderness. His slightly edgy inflection matches up with McGraw's mellow crooning perfectly.

A great ballad, soft yet powerful, it can consolate you if you're feeling down or give a little inspirational support to you if you're just looking for some gentle background noise.
